Week 13-14, May 9-20, 2022
After examining conservation of Energy in Gravitational systems, (like our Rollercoaster Lab), we are going to see how Energy conservation works in Thermal systems. Heat Capacity and Specific Heat help us to understand examples like the Atmosphere here on Earth. The ability of water to capture and store heat drives our climate and sustains life. We will see how radiant Energy comes to the Earth from the Sun and Energy comes from the Earth through Radioactive Decay.
